  1. CMS FORM

    Currently our CMS forms are all set to "CMS 1500 Medical Form" (black form) which is the setting needed to file electronically. Occasionally we need to resubmit something on a "Red" CMS form. This cannot be done without going into the Insurance profile, changing the form, and printing the claim. THEN you have to remember to go back in to the insurance setup and change the form setting back to the correct form. It would be a great option to have the choice to refile/reprint on a red form from the resubmit screen without having to change anything in the…

  2. Color codes for claims in process awaiting payment for 2ndry and tertiary

    If outstanding claims could have colors, not just primary insurance, for secondary and tertiary insurance claims to show that payment is not received

  3. billing screen adjustments

    When using an adjustment from the billing screen, they do not tie to a code, which affects the ledger summary options, which in turn affects the ability to audit account ledgers down the road. Would like this option updated to reflect adjustments tied to codes.

  4. implant tracker

    There is a preference setting for when to warn if an implant is about to expire. It currently lets you put from 1 to 99. Would like the option to set to 0 to turn off, like in other preferences.

  5. time clock spreadsheet

    We would like to have a spreadsheet that can be printed with ALL employees, date, total hours per day, subtotal per week, grand total for each employee, location.

    The current excel sheets do not have total hours on them, which makes them useless from an accounting point of view.

  6. Statements not HIPAA Compliant

    On the statements the information that appears in the envelop window in not HIPAA compliant. The words "account" and "Patient" need to be removed to follow HIPAA regulations.

  7. Can Guarantor changes please be tracked in the Security File?

    We've had HIPAA violations in the past, and are not able to review an audit of who made changes to a patient's guarantor. This would be tremendously helpful.

  8. Reports in OMS Vision are very lackluster

    1. OMS Vision allows you to track new patients in almost every report, what about tracking existing patients that return to clinic and the duration of time since their last visit?

    EX: Bob Smith (existing patient) returned for new treatment during March, and it's been 6 months since his last visit/treatment.

    This way, you can track daily/weekly/monthly/etc. the amount of existing patients who are returning and their average length of time between visits

  9. formatting

    Formatting Issues - I would love to see a more printer friendly format of the deposit slip. When we print it, we physically cut around the box with scissors and oftentimes, when you have 10 or more checks received in a day, it prints a small box on the first page that prints and then prints a continuation box on a second page with the remaining check numbers. It would be nice to have this on one page in order to submit to the bank with the deposit slip instead of transferring the information when arriving at the bank. Second,…

  10. Merging Accounts

    We need to have the ability to merge accounts. For example if the same patient is created twice We need the ability to merge the accounts into one. So all EHR Narratives, contact notes, phone numbers, address and ledger notes are combined into one account

  11. Gender

    Within the narratives and letters, there is a merge field for patient gender. This gender pulls from the patient information center / general tab.

    Currently when it pulls in, it capitalizes Male / Female.

    The problem is when you are inserting this into the middle of a sentence. Example: 36 year old female patient presents with....

    Option should be available to lower or upper case the first letter.

  12. Insurance payment options

    When posting an insurance payment, if there is a patient balance due, you have to either exit out of the bulk check posting or remember to go back to the patient when you've finished posting.

    Would like the ability to add a special note and print a statement at the time of posting the insurance payment

  13. Post payments under the procedure and not by date of payment.

    Posting it by date makes it difficult to see what procedure that pymt is for. Have the option to display it under the procedure as opposed to by date.

  14. Letter Logs Export

    When exporting Letters via the Letters Log, it would be nice if the log would export the letters into groups of referrers or general dentists. This way, we can send batches of letters in one email to other treating providers. Right now, we are manually saving them into folders in order to send letters in groups vs. individual emails. This feature would be nice to have!

  18. For HIPPA compliance, our OSHA/HIPPA audit has notified us we should have software that will lock someone out after multiple wrong attempts.

    For HIPPA compliance, our OSHA/HIPPA auditor has notified us we should have software that will lock someone out after multiple wrong attempts. Here are some links from OIG Health & Human Resource which mention that it is an easy step that should be taken into consideration when and if there is a breach of patient information that we (the Dr & office staff) as well as our practice associates--(you the EHR company) have done everything to limit the access to our protected patient information. Also agree with prior posts that recommend password changes to comply with HIPPA.

  19. Medications administered when new treatment is started

    If you create a case with multiple treatment visits, in the treatment window when a new treatment is started, the form all resets but the vital signs and medications carry over from previous surgeries. If a new treatment form is selected, the medications administered and vital signs should reset.

  20. Prevent dual insurance claims being sent to the secondary carrier before the first carrier

    We often find that the software is sending claims to the secondary carrier before the first carrier. To prevent this, we have to be aware if there are two carriers, terminate the 2nd to send the claim through to the 1st, then re-enter the 2nd carrier to print up the COB form. Very time consuming. If we do not follow these steps, patients get annoyed that we have "done it wrong" and claims are delayed because the claim for the 2nd carrier is denied as they know it should be paid by the other carrier first.
