Insurance payment options
When posting an insurance payment, if there is a patient balance due, you have to either exit out of the bulk check posting or remember to go back to the patient when you've finished posting.
Would like the ability to add a special note and print a statement at the time of posting the insurance payment

Letter Logs Export
When exporting Letters via the Letters Log, it would be nice if the log would export the letters into groups of referrers or general dentists. This way, we can send batches of letters in one email to other treating providers. Right now, we are manually saving them into folders in order to send letters in groups vs. individual emails. This feature would be nice to have!

MedXCom is a digital answering service that has data (patient phone call) that should be in the patient record, a bridge would be helpful

in office filter
In Office Screen - Currently you can filter this by provider and status. When you filter by status, you are only able to choose one. Would like the ability to filter by multiple status (but not all).

For HIPPA compliance, our OSHA/HIPPA audit has notified us we should have software that will lock someone out after multiple wrong attempts.
For HIPPA compliance, our OSHA/HIPPA auditor has notified us we should have software that will lock someone out after multiple wrong attempts. Here are some links from OIG Health & Human Resource which mention that it is an easy step that should be taken into consideration when and if there is a breach of patient information that we (the Dr & office staff) as well as our practice associates--(you the EHR company) have done everything to limit the access to our protected patient information. Also agree with prior posts that recommend password changes to comply with HIPPA.

Medications administered when new treatment is started
If you create a case with multiple treatment visits, in the treatment window when a new treatment is started, the form all resets but the vital signs and medications carry over from previous surgeries. If a new treatment form is selected, the medications administered and vital signs should reset.

Allow electronic coordination of benefits
Other Canadian software providers allow electronic coordination of benefits when 2 insurance companies are involved. www.cda-adc.ca/carriers have a list of processors that support the "COB Claim 07 transaction". This Claim 07 transaction must be enabled by our practice management software for the carriers that support it. This would give us faster turn around times on the secondary claims, less paperwork.

Currently OMS Vision is loaded with all the basic oral surgery codes.
Would like the ability to add in additional grouping of codes without manually adding each one individually.
Example, coding needed for cleft palate

edit display columns social history in EHR narratives
Would like to be able to choose which columns display for social history when EHR narrative is merged with the social history insertable table.
Also, Medical and Family History insertable tables

TREATMENT PLANS / CUSTOMIZABLE
It would be a great feature to allow us to customize our Treatment plans --- perhaps remove line items, or give one final total and one final estimate instead of showing everything per line item. Summarize the estimate !

time clock note
Currently when training staff on the time clock, we advise them if they forget to clock in at 8 am, to go ahead and clock in when they do remember. Then someone with admin rights needs a hand written note given to them to remind them to fix the time.
Would like the ability for staff to add a note when clocking in or out that would communicate when a change or fix needs to be done.

Program "Delete" button in the Document Center to delete the actual pdf or jpeg file, rather than ONLY delete a shortcut to the file.
Please program so that the "Delete" button with its warning that deletions are permanent actually delete the document (the file itself such as the pdf or jpeg), instead of deleting a shortcut to the file. The pop-up warning suggests that the deletion is permanent. This is true simply as to a shortcut. But the file itself is permanently left behind in the patient's document center file. Users may believe they are deleting or purging a file, when the file is still retained. This is an issue for our office where we upload xrays and referrals for Pre-Registered patients. If the…

Insruance E-payments
Would like the option when posting insurance payments, to be able to post e-payments from them as well. A lot of insurance companies send out Virtual cards, it has all the information needed (ie Address, name, zip code, and cvc).

Seaching patient names using limited letters
When searching for a patient, and you only want to put in Mar for the first name, and have all names that begin Mar tabulate. This way if your not completely sure how to spell the name, you can find it.

Letters to dentists/referrers
It would be nice for the clinicians to be able to select a box when adding/editing EHR notes on a given day for a certain procedure, to indicate what image in PT's documents correspond with the treatment. They could also select a contact for that treatment that could automatically generate a letter using the correct contact (ex: letters for implants go to general dentist or letter for an oral biopsy could go to someone else in this specific example) and then when they select the image that corresponds to TX, that image could automatically populate in an "image merge field"…

Be able to email patient information from the letters in the documents section to the referring doctors instead of mailing them.
Would be nice if the letters we generate in the documents section under the letter log can be emailed to the referring doctor or dentist instead of having to print out the letter and mailing it. Since postage is going up to 55 cents a letter this would be a real cost savings to a practice.

Turning Off Statments Option
It would reduce paper waste to have the option to turn off statements for accounts that have ANY balances still pending by insurance.

Code 000011 Needs to be removed from Claims Status Report
Code 000011 is showing up on our unbilled report as a line item that has not been billed to insurance. This code is for a Ledger Note and you can't bill ledger notes to insurance. It does not make any sense.
