implant center
The implant center is vital, but is not user friendly and needs attention. It would be nice if we could separate items listed in current inventory items by vendors, categories, lot, and alphabetize the items. Possibly by use of folders? It needs a dedicated search that would search more than just the first letter of the item. When the item is found, would be nice to have the option of attaching to a patient or add to inventory.

Add the time of the appointment to the pre-registration table
New patients FREQUENTLY call to inquire about their upcoming appointment. We can see the date when we go to pre-registration. BUT currently we have to close the table and go to the calendar and find the time. It is very frustrating for office staff and patients to have to wait for something so simple that can be written into the program.

Letters to dentists
It would be nice if when we are sending a letter we could pick referral or general dentist. A lot of time the referral is not who we want to sent the letter to. The referral could be another specialist or a friend. I know we can make different letters to each but that's a ton of duplicate work.

Ability to choose CPT or CDT when submitting a claim
When submitting or resubmitting a claim, the ability to choose the CPT or CDT code for that claim.
We have a medical carrier that wants dental codes for certain things and medical codes for others. Currently we have to go into the insurance profile and change it back and forth between CPT and CDT to get the claim correct.
If we had a check box on the submission/resubmission window, this would simplify this process a lot!

The website says the next expert series will be held in spring of 2017. That is quickly approaching and no dates are posted.

see claim detail
With other software programs, a single line is added to the ledger to indicate a claim was generated and to which carrier.
Office realizes this detail is available by going to the related transaction window but would like something easier to see visually at a glance from the ledger. (without scrolling).

Turn off the Line item Estimating in Treatment Planning
Offer the option to have the Treatment Plan list the items, but give ONE total with ONE INSURANCE ESTIMATED TOTAL and then the ESTIMATED PATIENT BALANCE instead of line items. Since OMS Vision still has not figured out how to give us an insurance estimating program with categories used by Oral Surgeons instead of by general dentistry, maybe this would be easier. We have been asking for years and years to give us categories such as Simple Exts, Surgical Exts, etc to build our estimator, not Amalgams, Composites, etc. So, we would just like to turn the whole thing off…

ability to schedule from other treatment plan phases
Idea entered for SLO OMSF 258907
With the new features in the TXP in version 15.2, the visual aspect of the other plans along the left hand side....would like to be able to schedule and post from those additional tabs.
Perhaps a preference setting to turn feature on/off.
Currently you can only schedule or post from plan 0.

GET TO DOCUMENT CENTER BY RIGHT CLICKING ON THE NAME ON THE APPT BOOK AND THE OPTION UNDER FILE i
As you can with EHR narratives I would like to right click on the patient in the appointment book and be able to go straight to the document center. This is easier than having to open the entire chart just to scan a document or check on documents in the patient's chart.

customize the ledger
Would like the ability to customize what order the columns appear in on the ledger, by workstation.
Example, insurance poster wants to see the adjustment column but it is often hidden off screen (scroll to right).

Strike through cancelled appointments rather than removing from schedule completely.
When a patient cancels an appointment, there is no way to go back on the date and look at the cancelled appointments on the schedule. Rather than removing the cancelled patient, could there please be a function to mark no call no show/ or cancelled appointment. Possibly through the colored marks? (i.e. confirmed appt is black, orange for x-rays, yellow for in treatment). Thanks.

Comment note in appointment
A way to track who adds or edits to the comments in the appointment note. If note is adjusted by another user automatically save. Maybe create a way so the note is copied into contact notes.

Neutral Gender Option
There is a rise of patients who do not identify with either the male or female gender. When you leave the Prefix blank the default it male. Please include a third category. The pronoun used in the merge field could simply be the patient's first name.

Add Insurance Manager to OMS VISION
I know that there is a program that lets us verify insurance benefits eligibility on line. I see that Dentrix offers it. Why would OMS VISION not have that option. Any program that helps with insurance would be wonderful.

diagnosis code - ability to add the dx to all codes for DOS
Would like the ability to add a diagnosis code to all codes entered for a dos, after it has been entered into the treatment plan or ledger. (in case it was forgotten). Similar to how when you change the provider number, it asks if you want to apply to all...apply dx to all.
Example, recently had to enter dx codes M62.40, M729.1, M60.9 and G43.109 on code J0585. Code J0585 was entered 114 times and each line had to be individually edited and all 4 dx attached. We don't like to delete in case we miss something or change the…
