Turn off the Line item Estimating in Treatment Planning
Offer the option to have the Treatment Plan list the items, but give ONE total with ONE INSURANCE ESTIMATED TOTAL and then the ESTIMATED PATIENT BALANCE instead of line items. Since OMS Vision still has not figured out how to give us an insurance estimating program with categories used by Oral Surgeons instead of by general dentistry, maybe this would be easier. We have been asking for years and years to give us categories such as Simple Exts, Surgical Exts, etc to build our estimator, not Amalgams, Composites, etc. So, we would just like to turn the whole thing off and just give a total cost of treatment, with one estimated expected insurance payment.

Totally agree...perhaps permit user/administrator created categories. And, although the software will calculate the line item coverage, please allow users/administrators to 'click' whether to print the line item estimate or just the total estimate. Doing so would be much more client-driven.
