Provider Number
We have different doctors who fill in, would be nice to be able to change the provider number once and it change the entire treatment plan or posting on ledger. Takes too long to change each individual line.

In the timeclock it would be nice if you could only access your info.
When an employee selects another person's name they are able to see their hours. I would like to see that only the employee who is logged in can see their hours only.
1 voteThere’s a setting under Preferences | Operation | Time Clock that is called “View status should only show person logged in” – check this option and it will enable this functionality.

Appointment Colors
Bring back the feature where appointment color indicators turn "Blue" when charges are posted regardless if the charge is posted that same day, the next day, or next week. Some offices do still manually post charges and post the next business day or after an operative report is received (and properly coded out) If not posted on the same day, we have to go back into the "Confirmation Status" and mark the appointment "Posted" It is a waste of time
6 votesI’d highly recommend you speak with our support team about this, there are many other ways you can post procedures that are more efficient.

Quick Statements/Billing Statements
There should be an option to select from the ledger what you would like to appear on the quick statement. It is very frustrating and confusing to the patient when they receive a statement that is not clear as to what they owe for. If a long term patient that has been treated in our office for years and has incurred new charges, they should be able to see only what charges are outstanding, not everything ever posted to their account.

Software is slow and hangs when used by several users since upgrades.
Software hangs and is slow to repsond in multiple fields since upgrades. Two differnet servers were tried and bothe experienced the same problem, so it is definitely a software problem.

Holidays should show up on schedule!
As I schedule appointments many times they get scheduled inadvertently on holiday. There should be some alert on daily schedules of ALL holidays.

The Ability to add folders/organize PT's Documents
It would be awesome to have the ability to add folders or better organize the PT's documents. For Example, you could add a folder titled "Claim Info/EOB's" and within that folder you could scan and store all EOB's for certain claims vs. having a super long list of data to scroll/sort through with the current option. You could also add folders for Pathology, Imaging Results (CT's/MRI's, etc) the storing of admit documentation (financial agreements, etc).

You should be able to edit your categories in the document center. Delete the ones you never use or rename the ones that are there.
You should be able to edit your categories in the document center. We don't use some of the folders, so it would be nice to get rid of them and add some that we would use. You can add a folder, but you can't delete any of the existing folders even though they are never used!

Would like to be able to block out other patient names on scanned in EOB'S that are being attached to insurance claims.

fill out medical claim forms properly according to the National Uniform Claim Committe
We are unable to properly fill out medical claim forms. RIght now we have to manually fill out the treatment portion to receive a response within 2 weeks. IF we use the options in OMS it just confuses the medical carriers, and payment or denial is delayed

Adding BMI calculator to EHR Narrative
I would like to be able to include an excel table with the formula to calculate a patients BMI right in the EHR Narrative

Please change this software - payment/posting and not using insurance estimating
Please find a way to not use insurance estimating. Allow staff to apply money where THEY want to. The system wants to think for you and apply money by line posting automatically. For example, if a consult is out to insurance and a patient prepays for a procedure, the money is applied to the account and AUTOMATICALLY line posted to the exam. This workflow is terrible and wish we could change software. Reports are never accurate. We have submitted multiple times for changes, but nothing is ever done. Instead, minor changes are made to the software that do not help.…
1 voteIn our most recent version, there is a feature that allows you to indicate that the insurance will not cover something, which I think would accomplish what you are asking. I recommend you contact our support team for assistance with this.

The ability add pre-registered pt. to call list.
We often run into the issue of a pre-registered pt. who would like to get in sooner than the date they are currently scheduled, however, oms does not allow to add pt. from the pre-registration list on a call list that would allow us to call pt. if a time slot opens up due to cancellation.
1 voteI just tested this in version 16.1 and you can add a pre registered patient to the call list.
From the existing appointment, right click, choose edit.
Directly above the comment box is a spot to check “place patient on call list”.
check that and click okay to save the appointment. -
Need a merge field to print page numbers on printed report
When printing a multiple page narrative, it should print the page # on the report. (eg Page : <<page_number>> so the output would show Page: 1, then Page: 2 Ideally it would print Page X of Y as it is a legal document.
1 voteIn the Narrative, you can enable headers and footers, and then can attach the “Page Number” merge field to the narrative.

Failed appointments to stay on schedule
When a patient fails an appointment, it would be really nice if the appointment would stay on that days schedule. Then if it would turn red, that way we can just go through the schedule and call people who missed their recent appointments.

copy demographics from existing patient to family member new patient
It would be nice to merge the address, phone numbers, insurance etc from an existing patient to another patient in the same family.
13 votesYou do have the ability to do this.
In pre – registration, when adding in multiple patients, you can use the “COPY“ button.
In registration, it copies the address from the Guarantor.
In the PIC, you can choose to Register Family Member. -
referrer report
a report that would tell me for example: which general dentists send me implants code 006010? this would just list the dentists and how many of this code they sent for a certain time period.

Prescriptions called in
We would like to be able to make a note within the prescription that it has been called in for the patient. with the date it's called in , the time and the pharmacist spoken with.
32 votesYou have this functionality in version 15. When you add an RX to the patient info center, there is a note section at the end of the line. Add the details about it being called in, faxed, printed, etc.
