Visits marked as posted
Why does the appointment show posted after you take the patient's payment? Most Oral Surgery offices collect BEFORE the surgery or Consult. It should only show posted AFTER the charges have been posted. DENTRIX does a good job of this.
Can you give us more detail on this? How are you making the payment beforehand?

The appointment color in the appointment book should not change to blue "posted" when a payment is applied. The Money on Account feature that was taken away is missed. I agree that we now have to post a no charge visit, or pick a prior visit to apply a payment on account. Please bring that back. Thank you for your kind assistance.

I agree. We are an oral surgery office and we too collect upfront. It is frustrating to have to go to billing, then patient payment to post the payment. Then of course it changes the status to posted before any services have been rendered. Is there a way to fix this. We should be able to post a payment prior to services.

we post all upfront payments via transactions, then billing. we double click office codes then payments. The monies posted then change the pt status to Posted. This should not happen as it now is reflected as a billed/posted appt, making our end of day reconciliation reports inaccurate.

Since OMS took away the capability of posting on account, a lot of us have to post a NC visit in order to be able to post a payment. Double the work because OMS decided we didn't need to pre-post a payment before the actual charges are completed.
