pharmacy number
Would like a designated area of the general tab for a patient preferred pharmacy.
Would also like this to link to a drop down in the prescriptions table to link to show where it was sent / called into.

Combining Accounts
It would be fabulous to be able to combine patient accounts if it is a duplicate. We seem to have a problem with creating new accounts when registering patients out of pre-reg. If we can't combine the accounts, the ability to delete a duplicate account would be another great feature.

bursting RX
Would like the ability to have a speed code type option for prescriptions, so they can print 3 or 4 RX without having to individually choose them.

pre registration notes
When a patient is registered, the details from pre-registration automatically show up in several places in the software.
appointment comments - would like the ability to choose what shows or prevent the default text
quick notes - would like a preference to prevent this
progress notes - would like to migrate this to contact notes or prevent it (cannot hide progress notes due to this auto populating)

insurance estimates
Would like the ability to have an insurance fee in the system, but NOT have it bill out to the ledger as the billed amount.
Only want it to get a more accurate estimate for patient copays for out of network insurance carriers.

PIC merge fields
Currently, there are EHR merge fields for prescriptions, medications, significant medical history and allergies.
Of those 4 items, only one of them also exists as a PIC merge field (significant medical history).
This becomes a problem if you are using narratives for your clinical notes, but not using the electronic health record. It is too many extra steps to create an EHR case just to have access to those three merge fields.

Adding last four of a credit card to payment
It would be nice to be able to add the last four digits to a credit card payment type (example enable the check # box). I have had several patients ask what credit card that they used at their previous visit, they want to know the specific card not just the type of card.

Progress notes
Would like the ability to change the naming of the tab.
New offices to the software rarely use this tab and never use it for clinical chart notes (what it was designed for years ago).
What does happen here for new offices, is the chart notes from their old software often populates here.
Therefore, would like the ability to rename the tab.
Instead of being "Progress notes", it could be "Dentrix notes"

Significant medical history
The significant medical history (upper right corner of the control panel on the right in the patient information center).
Currently to add here you have to single click on an item / paste and then repeat for each condition.
Would like the ability to highlight multiple items (ctrl) and then paste

History file sort
Currently with the History File, the data sorts from oldest to newest. For some patient's, that means that it is a long scroll to get to the most recent services.
NOTE - History file affects new offices, as it contains the data converted from the previous software

Treatment plan status
The treatment plan status should automatically changed from 'planned' to 'in progress' when the treatment is linked to an appointment and the planned for date should change to the scheduled date. It is very time consuming to go back into the PIC, tx plan tab and then edit each code separately. This would make the work in progress report more accurate and save from having to check to see if each patient is scheduled.
