Show all the times and dates that claims are sent
Often we have been asked by patients or insurance companies how many times a claim has been submitted and on what dates. The software will only show you the most recent date of filing. Several times I've had to "prove" to an insurance company that the claim was submitted within the first 30-90 days, but if it only shows the most recent date and that's 90 days after the treatment then I have no way to prove it (unless we are making case notes of every time a claim is sent). The new HIPAA Hitech act states that EMR has to show ALL disclosures made to doctors, insurance companies, pharmacies, etc. This isn't possible in showing all disclosures made to the insurance companies.
