Multiple Pages Medical Claim Forms Electronic
Electronic medical claims that are more than one page need to have a way of saying continued in block 28 and the total being on the last page in block 28. Currently you can not do this and the claims are being processsed as two seperate claims. One claim may be processed a lot faster than the other one which causes delay when patients have a secondary insurance we need to file with and need all of the primary EOB to file it.
Reviewing NUCC guidelines – this has been completed in the recent release

It is my understanding that nothing can be entered in column 28 except the dollar amount and that each according to the insurance companies must stand alone. You cannot total two pages together. If you need certain items billed together, a claim can be broken up two claims.
